As we approach the Easter long weekend, which is also linked to the Jewish Passover, known as Pesach, we’d like to wish everyone a wonderful time with family and friends.  With the current challenges we are facing in the world, and in particular for the country of Ukraine and its people, we share this beautiful photo of the decorated eggs, known as pysanka which are created using a wax resist technique. The name derives from the Ukrainian verb “pysaty” meaning “to write”.  We hope by connecting the observance of Easter to the pysanka, we can raise awareness in our schools and homes about our human connectedness and integrate our learning of art and current events.
