Richmond Public Library Summer Reading Club

Richmond Public Library Summer Reading Club

A librarian from the Richmond Public Library visited the school on June 15th to promote the Summer Reading Program.

Students can either sign up online at https://rpl.yourlibrary.ca/srckids or they can visit any branch of the Richmond Public Library.

How does it work?

  • Students sign up to participate (online or in person)
  • Students set a summer reading goal (reading for a set amount of time each day, an amount of pages etc.). There is no minimum or maximum!
  • Students read or someone reads to them
  • Each week, they visit the library to collect a sticker if they have met their goal (if they miss a week, they can ask the librarian for the sticker week they have missed)
  • At the end of the summer, if they have collected all 8 stickers, students take their stickers to the library and they get a medal
