3D Printer Project
- 3D Printer Project
- We are excited to report that Bridge is a part of a district-wide pilot project exploring the use of 3D printers to enhance learning.
- The 3D printer is housed in our Library Learning Commons - and is part of the expanded use of the library to enhance learnign in a number of ways.
- Applied Science and Design Technology (ADST) is an important part of the curriculum and the 3D Printer project is intended to:
- introduce a new technology to our students
- more importantly, this project is focused on teaching our students how to design 3 dimensional objects and instruct the printer to create these objects using coding language and modern software programs such at TinkerCad.
- Ms. Sugiarto, Mr. West and Mr. Hurst have attended professional development workshops after school and we had the District Teacher Consultant, Mr. David Track, visit our school to teaching our students these cutting edge ADST skills.
- Our learning curve has been very steep but we have already created some cool 3D objects and look forward to more exciting projects / products in the future.
