Professional Areas of Exploration for 2019-2020
Pro-D Initiatives / Areas of Focus:

- Our Gr 6/7 Bulldogs Student Leadership Group have met several times this year and have planned numerous events and activities to make learning and life at Bridge more fun, and to make a difference in this community and around the world.
- Environmental Stewardship
- Gardening / Local Produce Program
- BC Green Games
- Zero Waste Initiatives
- District Early Literacy Project
- Primary teachers in both French Immersion and English classes are currently working with District Literacy Teacher Consultants, Brianna Adams and Carrie Bourne, to:
- identify and target vulnerable readers at an early age
- provide these students with extra and intensive support in Reading.

- For 4 years, teachers at Bridge have been exploring differentiated teaching and learning within the area of Numeracy
- our staff have attended numerous Pro-D events - at Bridge, at other schools and throurghout the Lower Mainland
- District Janice Novakowski, Teacher Consultant for the Richmond School District, has led many of these sessions, and has come into our school and classrooms, mentoring, and modelling effective work with
- For 4 years, teachers at Bridge have been exploring differentiated teaching and learning within the area of Numeracy
