Based on staff input as well as our school's FSA results, we have decided to focus on Numeracy as a school-wide goal for the 2025-26 school year, while continuing to work on Building Bridges of Kindness. Many students have a positive attitude towards math when asked but some still struggle with basic calculations or applying their knowledge to rich and authentic problems. 

We noticed a number of students who are emerging in Numeracy and are hoping to learn more about incorporating High Yield Routines, Financial Literacy, and Math Games and Projects into our Numeracy Lessons. 

Many teachers are excited about the Professional Development opportunity at the end of the summer to hear from Peter Liljedahl, author of Mathematics Tasks for the Thinking Classroom, which we have purchased for each teacher at Bridge. This may lead to a school-wide book club to discuss ways to use the ideas in practical ways with students.
