September 22nd the Bridge, Mitchell and Kidd staffs got together to spend a morning learning with district mathematics and numeracy consultants Shaheen Musani and Jonathan Tang. Educators were given the opportunity to engage in level specific numeracy building routines, along with assessing students during these routines. This was an opportunity to learn from master teachers, collaborate with colleagues and build relationships with others in the district.

Both students and staff say that math games and collaborating with other are enjoyable and engaging parts of math.

In the afternoon we explored math games found throughout the school. Bridge has many math games that some staff had never played. Everyone left with new games they would introduce to their class or students they work with.
