What We Learned and Looking Ahead to Next Year
| What targeted actions did we take to address our school’s learning focus? | This year teachers took ideas learned at Professional Development sessions and implemented them into their classrooms. |
| What gap or problem were these actions intended to address? Why was this particular strategy/action chosen? | Teachers noticed that students are more engaged when they are enjoying the lessons. If we want to build resilience and skills, we need students to be engaged. They tried new strategies, games and manipulatives to draw students further into the learning. |
| What does the evidence tell us so far? | Did your feelings about math change this year? See image 1 |
| To what extent are the actions making a difference? | Did you get better at math this year? See image 2 |
| How will we move forward accordingly? | Based upon data from the Learning Updates this year, more Bridge students are currently Proficient or Extending in Mathematics than they are in Language Arts. See images 3 (Mathematics) and 4 (Language Arts) We will be focusing out School Learning Story on Reading next year. We will use the Richmond Formative Reading Assessment and the SPARK to help guide our focus and to measure the effectiveness of our efforts. |
